Xbox 360 Updates / Game Patches downloads via PC?

I don’t have a hard line so I can’t connect my Xbox 360 to the internet. I would however like to download extra content for my system; patches and updates for my games. Can I download these with my PC and then transfer them to my Xbox? I’m asking about official downloads and content from the Xbox community.

Sims 3 Game Downloads Problem?

I’ve been wanting to download some items off the sims 3 store. Their free Halloween set and bounty harvest set is what I’ve been trying to download. Once i press download and it goes to the game launcher, it quits downloading and under item it shows a box and under status it shows a red circle with a line through it. It won’t let me install anything! please help me if you know why its doing this! Thank you
